This nearly enclosed cover sits atop the Vitrobot dewar, creating a precisely controlled, cold, dry nitrogen gas environment. This optimized space protects vitrified samples from ambient humidity and substantially reduces ice particulate contamination in liquid nitrogen (LN2). Designed for a user-friendly experience, the Igloo features an integrated Cobra slot that securely holds tweezers with sample tips submerged in liquid ethane. This enables efficient one-handed operation for controlling ethane flow and managing the dewar, minimizing user stress and manual dexterity requirements. Its material is LN2 compatible, allowing easy refilling, and the top surface remains comfortable for steady transfer.
